I’m always looking for new skincare as my skin changes so often, right now my skin is looking dull with a few of breakouts. When I saw the new Superdrug Vitamin C range I just had to try it!
The range includes a facial cleanser, gel moisturiser, eye gel, serum and a face mask. All products are formulated with Goji Berry and Kakadu Plum extracts to give an extra boost of Vitamin C in your skincare routine.
Best of all the range is cruelty-free and subtitle for vegans!
Kakadu Plum – has the highest known concentration of Vitamin C of any food in the world.
Goji Berry – a super fruit known to induce calm, energy and wellbeing.
Vitamin C Facial Cleanser £4.99
I applied a 1p sized amount to my fingers before working the product into wet skin using circular motions. The constancy is thick and gel-like with tons orange peel. Although it was definitely exfoliating it is not extremely abrasive so it left my skin soft and glowing without aggravating my pimples and dry spots.
Vitamin C Orange Peel Jam Mask £4.99
I applied a thin layer of the mask using a flat make up brush (which I only use for face masks).
The texture is similar to the facial cleanser but a tad runnier. There was a very slight warming sensation which is normal when using this mask, I left it on for 10 minutes before rinsing.
I splashed my face with warm water and massaged the product into my skin for 30 seconds before rinsing fully. When looking at my skin I noticed I was looking very bright and fresh. I did not experience any dryness or tightness after taking the mask off.
Vitamin C Booster Serum £4.99
I always apply serum first after cleansing, I massaged 4 drops onto my face and let it sink in for around 5 minutes before continuing with my routine. Be careful when using the pipette serums are watery in consistency so its very easy to squirt out more than is needed.
Vitamin C Gel Moisturiser £4.99
Although I have dry skin I’m very prone to get oily in my T zone so lighter gel moisturisers are great for me. My skin instantly felt cooled and hydrated especially when paired with the serum.
Vitamin C Eye Gel £4.99
I love the design of this eye gel, when you unscrew the cap there is a glass roller ball applicator which feels like a mini massage when using under the eyes. The gel is full of caffeine so it left my under eyes looking plumper and bright. After applying the gel I take my ring finger and gently tap the product into my skin until it has fully absorbed.
After a week of using these products I have noticed:
• My skin looks brighter and plumper
• The texture on my cheeks has been reduced
• I haven’t been breaking out as much
• My skin feels softer and hydrated
I have nothing bad to say about any of these products, they have all performed amazingly. My skin has not looked or felt this good for a long time and I will defiantly continue using these products.
